We do not allow groups to use our kitchen to prepare meals for health and practical reasons. However, we do provide a microwave oven and small refrigerator at guests’ request.
Our Kitchen Staff can accommodate most diets. We do our very best to prepare delicious meals for all of our guests. That said, some diets are too challenging for our kitchen to handle in the space and with available resources. Please contact the camp at least ten days before your trip, retreat, or camp to see if we can accommodate your dietary needs.
Last-minute or same-day additions to dietary needs may not be accommodated.
We’ve prepared a list of things that you may want to bring click to see list. For trail rides, long pants and close-toed shoes are required.
Unfortunately, guest pets are not allowed at camp.
Please email our guest services coordinator for prices. Fees vary depending on:
Camp Evergreen is a fully winterized, year-round facility. We welcome guests throughout the year except for:
Yes! All of our meeting and dining areas are wheelchair accessible, as well as some of our cabins and the general store. The outdoor washroom is a dedicated barrier-free washroom. Most of our trails are wide and smooth for easy travel around the main camp.
As our namesake might suggest, we’re in the middle of an Evergreen (Boreal) forest! Our gravel or dirt paths can be snowy, icy, muddy, or dry depending on the time of year (and even the same day). We also have a lot of land: 480 acres, to be exact. Expect to put your steps in while you’re at camp!
We love our semi-wilderness environment and getting outside. We love to play in all of our seasons and so we suggest our guests come prepared to adventure all year round.
You can also expect to encounter, hear, or see signs of wildlife at the camp. We have a lot of little animals and some larger forms of wildlife. While we consider our site quite safe from predators, there’s always a chance of an encounter. When you arrive at Camp Evergreen, we will encourage you to travel in groups and to make noise to avoid encounters with animals like moose, bears, cougars, and wolves.
Interested in a tour? Please phone us and let us know when it suits you to come.
Yes—in some areas. Cell phone coverage is inconsistent. We intentionally limit Wi-fi to our Welcome Centre for our guests. This may seem counterintuitive in our world today; however, our guess is that your group has chosen Camp Evergreen as a place to experience adventure, retreat, and “get away” from the busyness found in your day-to-day. We’ve strategically limited Wi-fi to the “business” end of camp as to encourage you to connect, explore, and grow with your people and creation!
Teachers, we haven’t forgotten you! We know that you must be in contact with your students’ parents or school. Make sure you set up Wi-Fi calling on your phone before you come, and we’ll give you an internet code for the duration of your stay so that you can send and receive calls/messages.
Camp Evergreen has VERY spotty cell coverage. We encourage all of our guests to enable “Wi-fi Calling” before you arrive on-site. With Wi-fi Calling, you can send and receive phone calls through the internet, regardless of cell service.
There is wi-fi available at our Welcome Centre and teachers will be given a wi-fi password during their stay at camp.
The spacious dining room can double as an indoor activity space between meals.
The Activity Centre is our largest indoor area and built for everything from indoor relay races to full band rehearsals.
Our beautiful Heritage room is a smaller meeting room perfect for meetings, marking papers or teaching small groups.
This large room can be converted into another place for meetings, practices and free time
Our 10 modern cabins are each equipped with small sitting areas, perfect for small study sessions or small group rehearsal space.
Growing from our small tuck shop, our Moose Junction General Store offers everything from deodorant to skittles.
With the heated washroom block just steps away from the cabins, students can shower and ‘Axe up’ without fumigating the cabins.
Our dorm-style rooms are located in the upper floor of the Lodge. These rooms are conveniently located with the dining hall downstairs and washrooms down the hall.
For a more rustic experience, our traditional cabins can house 6 people each and keep you nice and cozy while still providing a nostalgic outdoor experience.
Our Food Services Director, Justin Willms, is convinced he can change your mind on what you consider “camp food” to be like. He plans every menu with a lot of heart and a whole lot more home-cooked goodness. Special diets can be accommodated.
Camp Evergreen does not currently have special EV Chargers for guests. Due to the cost of electricity, there will be a surcharge for guests who wish to recharge their EV at camp. Please see the office upon arrival to arrange payment.
